Welcome to Park Avenue State School

At Park Avenue State School you will see a shared and acknowledged commitment in all aspects of teaching and learning.

This is evident through staff and student active engagement, positivity, unity, 'whatever it takes' attitude and school pride.

Park  Avenue State School is  a  small  school  where 'everyone knows your name'. Our school services the needs of a vibrantly diverse enrolment catchment poised between the industrial, retail and university precincts of the large Central Queensland township of Rockhampton.

Within the school we provide 3 key educational programs: primary, early childhood development and Remote Area Teacher Education Program (RATEP).

High standards and expectations drive  our  school  day  in,  day  out.  Our  school  has  an  unrelenting  focus  on  improvement,  as brought  about  by  an  expert  teaching  team,  dynamic  and  disciplined  learning  environment and culture, which values learning. We foster the Positive Behaviour for Learning framework and instil our four expectations; Be responsible, be respectful, be safe and be a learner in all aspects of school life.

At Park Avenue State School, we provide students with skills and behaviours that will hold them in good stead throughout their lives as learners and as healthy citizens.

We welcome you to our great school and look forward to ‘knowing your name’ at Park Avenue State School.
