Welcome back Park Avenue!
Enrolments: A big welcome to our new families and the 25 Prep students that enjoyed their very first day of school on Tuesday. Here at Park Avenue our school-wide focus for children, staff and community is WELLBEING. We look forward to a year in which kindness and being a learner underline every minute of the school day.
Staffing: Welcome back Mrs Nicole Kift! Mrs Kift has the 3/4 class from Monday to Thursday with Mrs Leanne Burns taking the class on Fridays.
Facilities: A big shout out to our fabulous P&C who are responsible for the new bus shelter at the Prep entry gate! A cool dry place to wait for the bus and it looks great!
Swimming: Swimming is expected to commence for all grades on Friday of Week Two. Detailed notes will be sent home as soon as we have full confirmation of times and pools.
Our swimming and water safety program comes to you at such a low cost ($5/week) as you are only paying for half of the bus costs, no pool costs and no instructor costs. Almost 100% of the Park Avenue Primary staff have donated 16 hours to complete swim instructor training to ensure our children have water safety skills and knowledge. The bus is partially subsidized through a government grant and use of the pools is kindly given to us freely by Crescent Lagoon State School and Glenmore State High School. Park Avenue is a great place to be!
Breakfast Club
Another shout out goes out to Shannon McLellan and Miss Raylene for preparing breakfast for our students on Mondays and Thursdays commencing next week.
